About
Marielle grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon and lived in Portland, Oregon for a few years before deciding to return to the Bay Area. As a PhD Candidate in the Meineke lab, she is interested in exploring the role of anthropogenic drivers on herbivory on ecologically significant plants, within the context of our changing climate. Marielle loves cooking for her friends and family, hiking with her dog and partner, creating insect inspired jewelry, drawing insects, playing guitar/piano, and gardening with her cat.
